Have you seen this god? |
T-55: Not long to
go now, eh apocalypse watchers?
Less than eight weeks to go until the end of the world/the
dawning of a new age of spiritual enlightenment/the Strictly Come Dancing final, depending on your point of view.
I am starting to wonder if this is all not a big joke. Has anyone else seen anything suggesting the impending end of days? Let's try to keep it light-hearted though.
If the eternal sea really does mean politics, there are plenty of elections happening in the run-up, not least of all the U.S. of A. Could Mitt Romney be the Antichrist?
ReplyDeleteSince many "prophets" have used Revelation to predict the end as well as various disasters ("Revelation-type stuff") that precede the end, and yet the end has not come over all these centuries, they have all been wrong. Maybe Revelation is about something different from what they see there; after all, "apocalyptic" writing is full of symbolism (not literal stuff).
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I saw a six headed lamb walk out of the sea, this morning, and it spaketh as a dragon.
ReplyDeleteNothing unusual, though.
Just read your latest post and I spotted the picture of the mayan god.
ReplyDeleteIndeed I know who that god is. Is a Mayan God called: "bolon yokte k uh" (whose name is composed by the number nine and the word god). Basically this god is the god of war and represents the sacrifice for an end (which an be a period of time). This god appears in some writings in Palenque (Chiapas, south of México), Usumacinta and La Mar. That is as far as I remember from my college history books.
This god is associated with something called in Spanish "Fenomeno 2012" which is the end of the world. Event meant to happen on winter solstice 2012 (21st of Dec). Anyway, have read a lot about this but I am sceptical about it.
